Summer snacks

Here are my recepies for the best summer snacks. They are all healthy, easy and quick to make and of course, delicious. Especially good to make if you don't have much time, but you want to serve something healthy and good looking  to your guests. And they are very suitable for summer time, because they are refreshing and light.
Bon appetit!

  • cranberry-tuna salad is very easy to make and it's really good!     All you need is green salad, dried cranberries, a can of tuna, soft goat cheese, balsamic vinegar, pumpkin oil, salt and pepper- mix all this in a really nice bowl and enjoy your meal.
  • salmon-avocado sandwich is just right for summer brunch.     You need just a little of butter, salmon spread ( the one with pieces of salmon, which is orange color; not the white one, which is mixed with cream cheese!) or thin slice of smoked salmon, avocado, soft goat cheese, lettuce leaf, half lemon juice, thin slice of tomato and salt- put all this on a slice of mixed seeded bread or on toast.
  • fruit smoothie with soy milk is yummy and fast to make!   You need frozen cherries without pits, frozen raspberries, banana, soy milk, (and i usually add some of the Herbalife vanilla powder, i am also planning to write post about Herbalife very soon).
I hope you like the recepies or i whould say more, ideas for summer snacks! I will post some more recepies soon.

Summer sports

Since the summer is coming and we all want to look super fit, i have made My Top 3 pre-summer selection.

This holidays i have been very interested in beach volley, and since i didn't know how to play it, i asked my friend to show me the  touches and explain me the rules. For the last two weeks we are playing volleyball in the school gym and i am doing really well, i think that i have improved it and the most important is that i really enjoy it and have lots of fun playing it. I figured that i shouldn't be afraid of the ball and just relax and enjoy the game. So this year volley is definitely my no.1 summer sport!

I am also very excited about running this season. I think is good for health and is free; because i think is stupid to go to the gym and run on a track in a sunny weather. Rather than this, go to the nearest forest or if you are at the seaside, you can run on the beach, it's even better, in summer time, early in the morning. For motivation buy yourself a nice top. Neon colors are in this season!

I couldn't really decide about no.3; it's eather tennis or badminton, those are both my one of my favorite sports. But i think that badminton is more suitable for summer, beacuse it's more relaxed, you can play it on the beach, grass, at the picnics, in the park...

Prabal Gurung

One of my favorite designers is definitely Prabal Gurung, who is a brilliant, young designer born in Singapore and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was in New Delhi, India that his design career truly began. While studying at New Delhi's National Institute of Fashion Technology, he apprenticed at several local production and fashion houses and designed with Manish Arora. Gurung's travels took him to Melbourne and London, where he assisted stylists for various fashion shows and international publications. In 1999, after seven years of traveling, Gurung moved to New York City. He began his career in New York interning for Donna Karan while attending Parsons School of Design. In his first year, he was awarded the "Best Designer" title at the annual Parsons / FIT design competition.
After Parsons, Gurung spent two years with Cynthia Rowley's design team, which allowed him to gain even more invaluable experience on both the design and business end of New York's highly competitive fashion scene. Soon after, he became the design director at Bill Blass. After five successful years, Gurung left his post at Blass to launch his own collection, PRABAL GURUNG.
Since the launch of his collection, Gurung has dressed leading ladies including Michelle Obama, Demi Moore, Zoe Saldana and Oprah Winfrey, to name a few. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund Award and received a nomination for the 2010 CFDA Swarovski Womenswear Award. He was chosen by the fashion industry's leading editors, retailers, designers and business experts for one of the highly coveted design studios at the {CFDA Fashion Incubator} for 2010-2012. In November 2010, Gurung was selected as runner-up for the 2010 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2011 Gurung was honored as one of USA Network's twelve Character Approved Award recipients.
Gurung presently resides in New York City.
